Free Health Screenings At 14th Annual Mission Health Fair

January 13, 2009

Health screenings such as cholesterol, bone density, glucose and vision can be costly for some people.

However, with the help of several staff members and volunteers, Mission Regional Medical Center along with other health care providers will offer these screenings for free to visitors at the 14th Annual Mission Community Health Fair.

The fair, scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, January 18th, will be held at the Sharyland High School Gym, 1106 North Shary Road, Mission, Texas.

“Last year we welcomed approximately 1200 people to the health fair,” said Nick Espinosa, Director of Marketing, Mission Regional Medical Center. “This year, we may see more people taking advantage of these free health screenings because of the slow economy, “ added Espinosa.

All these free screenings have a value of about $600.
