MRMC Extends a Helping Hand
On September 4th, Mission Regional Medical Center donated twenty-five surplus computer monitors to the school J.B. Muñoz Elementary School in La Villa.
A few days before, an Information Systems Department employee had seen a News Channel 5 story on the burglary at the elementary school. Teenagers had broken into J.B. Muñoz Elementary School, destroying all the monitors of their only Computer Lab.
According to Debbie Lee Winslow, Principal of J.B. Muñoz Elementary, the Computer Lab not was not only used as an education tool for the students, for the student’s parents, as well. In the evenings, the Lab served as a Region One facility.
With the approval from Javier Iruegas, CEO, hospital staff delivered the computer monitors to the school.
