Meet Our Residents

Get to know the residents of the Prime South GME Consortium Family Medicine Residency Program at Mission Regional Medical Center.

Since launching in July 2025, our program has welcomed residents who are helping build something new — a Family Medicine Residency Program rooted in excellence, service, and education. With four positions per year and twelve residents in the program overall, each resident trains within a close-knit community while benefiting from the full strength and resources of the Prime South GME Consortium.

Our residents come from a range of academic backgrounds, bringing diverse perspectives and experiences to their training. Over three years, they develop the clinical skills, judgment, and compassion needed to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care — while playing an active role in serving the vibrant, primarily Hispanic border community of South Texas.
