Best-selling author and executive coach Kim Cantergiani – the featured speaker at the Ladies First Luncheon benefitting The Foundation at Mission Regional Medical Center from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the Club at Cimarron in Mission. This year’s VIP luncheon sponsor is BBVA Compass Mission, with a $5,000 contribution, said MRMC Foundation Director, Lucila Lagace.

“This annual event, which shines a light on women and the sacrifices that they make daily – often at the expense of their own health and wellbeing – would not be possible without the support of our community’s leading businesses,” Lagace said. “So, I am so grateful for our VIP Sponsor, BBVA Compass Mission; and our event sponsors Frost Bank, the Rio Grande Valley Partnership, and Ric Brown Family Funeral/Serenity Flowers & Gifts.”

The following supporters have sponsored tables at $500 each: IBC Bank, Urgent Care 4U/ RGV Emergency Physicians, Mission Economic Development Corporation, Long Chilton Certified Public Accountants, and Junior Service League of Mission. In addition, All Care Home Health Services sponsored three tables. Sponsorships, tables and individual tickets are still available by calling the Foundation at 956-323-1102 or online at www.thefoundationatmrmc.org.

“Today we can hear about so many quick ways to lose weight or cure what ails us with a pill, powder or the latest trend; however, in reality we all know what works best for overall long-term health is sustained healthy habits,” said Cantergiani, author of The Power of Inspiration: Dare To Be the Best YOU. “We simply need tools and resources to inspire us to take action toward being our healthy selves every single day.”

There will also be demonstrations, health and wellness-related information tables, door prizes, and a specially prepared meal by award-winning Chef Santiago “Jimmy” De la Cruz at the event, which benefits the Foundation at Mission Regional Medical Center. Proceeds will benefit diabetes awareness programs and resources at Mission Regional Medical Center.

Cantergiani is a single mother of six, who won the prestigious Body-for-LIFE Challenge in 2001 after losing more than 70 pounds. She has been instrumental in the transformation of the lives of women across the world through her delivery of energetic and inspirational keynotes, professional development training, corporate wellness programs, life and executive coaching and webinars.
