Mission Regional recognized as one of America’s Best Hospitals for patient experience
Mission, Texas / Dec., 2024 – Mission Regional Medical Center, a member of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, has been named one of “America’s Best Hospitals” for patient experience as part of the 2025 Women’s Choice Awards.
The Women’s Choice Award is a national awards program, founded by Delia Passi, former publisher of Working Mother magazine. The award is designed to identify the country’s best healthcare institutions based on various criteria — including patient satisfaction, clinical performance, patient recommendation ratings, accreditations, and what women say they want from a hospital.

The Women’s Choice Award® is also designed to identify the best hospitals nationwide that are women-friendly and have demonstrated exceptional service in meeting the needs of women, while aligning with women’s healthcare needs and preferences.

Mission Regional’s sister hospital in Prime Healthcare, Harlingen Medical Center, also received the Women’s Choice Award for “100 Best Hospitals for Patient Experience.”
Dr. Padmini Bhadriraju, Chief Medical Officer for Prime Healthcare hospitals in the Rio Grande Valley, including Mission Regional Medical Center and Harlingen Medical Center, expressed thanks to “every single individual working in our healthcare system who made these awards possible.”
