(Mission, TX) The Mission Regional Medical Center Auxiliary presented a $42,000 donation to Mission Regional Medical Center (MRMC). The donation will be designated for various service lines.
Mission Regional Medical Center Auxiliary Board President Rose Forquer presented the donation to Javier Iruegas, CEO. “It is with pleasure that we, the hospital Auxiliary present this donation to MRMC. We feel blessed to be working at a non-profit hospital where we strive to be an asset in every area we serve, “ said Forquer.
Monies donated are the proceeds from the Mission Regional Medical Center Gift Shop. Throughout the year, the Gift Shop holds several bake sales and jewelry sales to boost business. Lilliam Santana-Barrera, Volunteer Services Coordinator, said, “I am delighted to work with such a devoted and compassionate group of individuals. Their hard work is greatly appreciated.”
The hospital’s Auxiliary consists of over 100 members. This year, volunteers contributed 28,000 hours of service. Volunteers help in various departments within the hospital setting that best suit their abilities, time schedule, and interest.
