SPECIAL NOTICE: Flu Season Visitation Restrictions
Due to an active flu season, we have placed some temporary restrictions on visitations. We ask for your cooperation in order to provide the healthiest environment for our patients and your loved ones. Please review the changes before visiting a patient at our facility.
Planning Your Stay
The Guest Relations Department serves as liaison to patients, families and visitors by offering assistance, hospital information, referrals and execution of Advance Directives. The Guest Relations Department also receives and facilitates resolution of complaints or concerns voiced by patient, families and visitors. Patients are allowed to voice complaints and recommend changes freely without being subject to coercion, discrimination, reprisal, or unreasonable interruption of care. If the complainant is still not satisfied after attempts to resolve the complaint and has exhausted all avenues at the Division level, the complaint is then considered a Grievance and he/she may request (either verbally or in written form) a meeting with the Patient Grievance Committee by contacting Maribel Resendez. All grievances are investigated and will be acknowledged by a written letter within seven days and a closure letter outlining the findings after the investigation has been completed.
Mission Regional Medical Center believes that total patient care demands attention to the spiritual, as well as the physical and emotional needs of each patient. Members of our pastoral services are available to assist you, whatever your religious tradition. Your priest, minister or rabbi is always welcome to visit you while you are here. Should you need assistance in contacting your clergy, contact Jerry Garcia, Hospital Chaplain at 323-1273.
As a patient in Mission Regional Medical Center, you have certain rights and protections guaranteed by state and federal laws. These exist to help ensure the quality and safety of your hospital care.
To help you understand these rights, you will be given a copy of ‘Patient Rights and Responsibilities’ upon admission or upon request.
